Thompson Law Office in Omaha pleased to welcome Katherine A. (Uzendoski) Busch as a new associate attorney with the firm. Kathy received her undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago, where she majored in English language and literature. She received her law degree from Creighton Law School in 2002. After graduating from law school, Kathy worked in several areas of law, including bankruptcy, personal injury, employment law, family law, and juvenile law. She has served as an assistant prosecutor and ICWA specialist for the Omaha Tribe of Nebraska . Kathy has also worked for Legal Aid of Nebraska as an associate attorney in the Native American Program, serving all four Nebraska Tribes in family and juvenile law, as well as Indian Child Welfare Act matters and other general practice work. Kathy has also participated in the activity of the Nebraska ICWA Coalition. Most recently, Kathy has gained experience working as an administrative law judge for the Nebraska Department of Labor handling unemployment benefit appeals.
